Sin, Judgement, Forgiveness and Amazing Grace

Our blindness to our sin makes us like the men who were ready to stone the woman caught in adultery. When Jesus told them that those who are without sin should cast the first stone, they all dropped their stones and walked away. Furthermore when you look deeper into this story you see their ignorance and blindness to the entire picture. How? They did not bring the man who she was caught in adultery with to be stoned as well. The focus was only on the woman. Not only were they ready to stone this woman to death for her sin, but they were readily dismissing the sin of the man that was with her. This is a more complete picture of the faulty view and wretched brokenness of humanity. And this can be referenced beyond adulterous acts, no matter if the stoning was intended for a woman or a man. It’s the principle of the matter.

The fall of Adam & Eve was the root cause of all sin being passed down through all of humanity and with it came a continued destructive line of hypocrisy and blaming. Impartiality wrecks relationships, families and is an assumption taken from finite minds, limited perspectives and often outright manipulation to control by concealing and/or lies. The Lord in His infinite wisdom from Father-God sees all, knows all and has the authority over all in the end. He knows The TRUTH in every single situation. So no matter what the accusers say or think for that matter….the truth will always come out in the end AND THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE! When will humans stop the hypocrisy madness? The contemptuous, hard-hearted, unforgiving, grudge holding patterns that are destroying us?

Yes pain comes from the result of sin and that is why God HATES SIN. The sins of humanity not only hurts oneself, but hurts others as well. Love is and always will be the answer and guiding principle. The saving force to reconcile a lost and hurting world. Until we recognize the depths of our sin nature deeply embedded in the flesh and the ultimate price Jesus paid for it, we can’t truly forgive ourselves or others for their sins.

With this revelation also comes boundaries. We can forgive and love from a distance. Furthermore we can’t force others to see their own fallacies and faulty perceptions or make them see the truth until they are ready to face it on their own. In fact allowing toxic relationships and behaviors to continue enables others to sin by allowing continued bad treatment and behaviors to fester through being acted out while issues never get resolved. It takes cooperation and courage from everyone involved to face and resolve sin’s consequences. Love is not forced.

The only way for humanity to be redeemed from our fallen nature is by coming into a relationship with Jesus. Repenting of our former ways and walking in salvation with the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t mean life will have no issues but that our guiding compass with Christ will help us all along the way. Yes even as we stumble and fall, we then pick back up pressing forward with a repentant heart. He knows we live in a fallen world and he factored in our mess before the foundation of this world. This life was never meant to be trekked without being connected to our Heavenly Father. Amazing grace how sweet the sound!

“By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

“The scribes and the Pharisees *brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court, they *said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?” They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.” ]”

The darkness of night is dissolving as dawn’s light draws near, so walk out on your old dark life and put on the armor of light. May we all act as good and respectable people, living today the same way as we will in the day of His coming. Do not fall into patterns of dark living: wild partying, drunkenness, sexual depravity, decadent gratification, quarreling, and jealousy. Instead, wrap yourselves in the Lord Jesus, God’s Anointed, and do not fuel your sinful imagination by indulging your self-seeking desire for the pleasures of the flesh.
Romans 13:12-14 – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage…

“Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death. But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
